It's just starting to snow...

...in Chicagoland, but the call of spring is not that far away! Our friends at Pantone have issued their spring 2009 fashion color report, and we are overjoyed to see bright colors once again at the top of the list, especially our favorite hue of lavender! Download the Pantone report here! Love and luck, Don

Still ticking!

Just like the famous Timex watch commercial, we have been through a lot this year, but we're still ticking! We've been privileged to design jewelry by private commission for several wonderful and elegant weddings during the spring and summer.
We are also very excited about our new relationship with our friend Karen Caprio at Bellina Bridal Karen is a talented gown designer in her own right, and Bellina Bridal is the exclusive retailer for the lovely Carla Marinelli gowns from Italy. When you are in New York City, stop by Bellina Bridal on Park Avenue South. We continue to add authorized dealers of the Princess Bride Jewelry collection, so be sure to visit our dealers page at our website. Remember that Princess Bride Jewelry designed by Don E. Wolford is available only at fine full service bridal salons and wedding professionals. Look for many new designs coming in 2009! You can be automatically notified of new items added to our collection by subscribing to our RSS feed on our home page. Fashion colors for Fall 2008

The Pantone report of fashion color trends for the fall 2008 season is out, and we are absolutely excited to see the return of several lovely blue based colors. In fact, pantone rates Blue Iris as a top choice among designers for this season. You can download the complete report free of charge at Pantone's website: Pantone's Fashion report for Fall 2008 For the last few seasons we have been so disappointed to see the fashion industry move to a mostly yellow based color palette, which we think leaves out a lot of women whose skin tone has the blue undercast, and just absolutely washes out terribly when wearing most yellows, greens, and browns. So we applaud Pantone's: "A Season of Change" report.

Oscar Jewelry...a relic of the past?

So how many of you watched the Oscars last night? We saw some great dresses, but not much in the way of knock-em dead jewelry. And what's with the unstyled hair? While a few of the stars looked very well put together, some others looked like they spent about five minutes getting ready! We give top jewelry honors to Julie Christie's amazing necklace, with Laura Linney's necklace a close second. And we have to say that Miley Cyrus looked fab in her great earrings. Best dress? We vote for Helen Mirren's sophisticated red number. Ciao for now!
